Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (248) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY LOVE IS BEAUTY COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
CALIFORNIA RAD lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began only fairly.
HARBOUR ALERT began awkwardly and then despite being ridden along failed to muster speed.
ZERO HEDGE shifted out at the start and bumped SUPREME PATROL.
From the outside barrier, GOLDIE FLANKER was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After travelling a short distance, FOODIE PRINCESS was awkwardly placed outside the heels of SUPREME PATROL which shifted out.
Approaching the 800 Metres, ALL BEST FRIENDS raced in restricted room between CIRCUIT FIVE and WILL POWER.
WILL POWER was then directed out to relieve the crowding to ALL BEST FRIENDS.
At the entrance to the Straight, WILL POWER was shifted out away from the heels of SKY TREASURE.
Throughout the race, SKY TREASURE travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, N Callan (SUPREME PATROL) reported that he was not able to offer any explanation for the horse's disappointing performance.
He said after enjoying a good run behind DOLLAR REWARD, he shifted SUPREME PATROL to the outside of that horse rounding the Home Turn, however, SUPREME PATROL did not close off the race as anticipated.
A veterinary inspection of SUPREME PATROL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, S de Sousa reported that after he placed GOLDIE FLANKER under pressure rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, the horse's action deteriorated and because of this he eased it down over the final 200 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of GOLDIE FLANKER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
Before being allowed to race again, GOLDIE FLANKER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CIRCUIT FIVE immediately following the race found that horse to have blood present at the left nostril.
An endoscopic examination of CIRCUIT FIVE found that horse not to have bled.
A veterinary inspection of HARBOUR ALERT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ZERO HEDGE, WILL POWER and DOLLAR REWARD were sent for sampling.

Fancied to jump second favourite, newcomer Will Power let down well to grab victory 30m out after a deep run with cover in midfield from a wide gate. Dollar Reward found one too smart after surging to the lead 250m following a pace-stalking run. He continues to race very well on this surface this season. Foodie Princess closed very well to place after a patient ride third from the rear. He's run on well in both dirt sprints this term. Sky Treasure kept on reasonably well after a wide and without cover run near the speed. It was a good effort after coming out of a September run lame. Favourite Zero Hedge gave way 100m out after dictating the run. The tactics change to lead backfired. All Best Friends ran on without menacing after making his run fourth from the back. He's given a better sight in back-to-back dirt sprints but would prefer him in Class Five. Strathclyde came up one-paced when asked for an effort following a box-seat run.
