Recap by phillip woo
Salto Olimpico just scraped home from the fast-finishing favourite Tashidelek after rushing to the front 500m out tracking the leader Jolly Gene on the fence. He had been knocking on the door and was suited by the light weight up in grade with Joao Moreira steering. Tashidelek made it close on the wire after being ridden cold from the widest gate in his first start for his new trainer. He had put the writing on the wall two back and will be saluting shortly. God Of Dragon got going after a patient ride third from the rear to fill a placing. It was a pleasing effort in his first try over a route but didn't have much behind him. Rocketeer only plodded with every chance following a prominent run. He continues to disappoint. Giant Turtle was a non-factor after settling a distant third in the run. He has to lead or does tend to struggle. Jolly Gene knocked up badly after getting his own way in front. He's not racing well.
