Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (597) - THE HONG KONG LIONS CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1000Meters
DECISIVE ACTION and ARDENODE began awkwardly.
UNIQUE TREASURE was crowded for room on jumping between MR LUMIERES and VOYAGE WARRIOR, both of which shifted ground.
STAR OF THEHARBOUR and VOYAGE KING bumped on jumping.
Shortly after the start, ARDENODE was eased away from the heels of CAO CAO which shifted out.
In the early stages, ORIONIDS was shifted across behind runners and after the 400 Metres got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
MR LUMIERES lost its left front plate at the 500 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of STAR OF THEHARBOUR immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a cut to the inside of the right front cannon.
VOYAGE WARRIOR and HAPPY TIME were sent for sampling.

Raging favourite Voyage Warrior won with a minimal of fuss yet again leading from gate 13 to remain unbeaten in two starts. He did it in a very fast time and there's likely a class or two in hand. Plunged late Happy Time stuck on well tracking the leader to easily hold the Quinella spot. He has filled the frame in half his six other starts this term and could be saluting shortly. Mr Lumieres stayed on well for a placing after being hampered 400m out travelling better than midfield near the centre of the track. It was a return to form over his pet course and distance following a downgrade. Utopia Life came up one-paced sitting handy on the stands side. It was another honest effort but below the expectations of many. Sunny Boy stayed on all right sitting midfield near the far side. It was an encouraging debut following a host of leg issues. California Gungho faded inside the last 150m chasing the winner. He'll be one worth keeping safe when finding his way into Class Four.
