Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (528) - COX'S HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
RICKFIELD was slow to begin and then was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
OWNERS' STAR began only fairly and then was crowded for room between DRAGON COMMANDER and SUPER GIANT, both of which shifted ground.
From the outside barrier, GREAT TREASURE was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Shortly after the start, SUPER GIANT raced in restricted room between DRAGON COMMANDER and ULTIMATE GLORY which shifted out.
After this, DRAGON COMMANDER and SUPER GIANT raced tight.
DRAGON COMMANDER then got its head up on a number of occasions passing the winning post on the first occasion when being steadied to obtain cover.
DRAGON COMMANDER was subsequently left racing without cover after the 1500 Metres and was allowed to improve passing the 1400 Metres to obtain a position closer to the rail.
Passing the 1400 Metres, RICKFIELD got its head up on a number of occasions when proving difficult to settle.
After the 1300 Metres, VOLPINO commenced to prove very difficult to settle and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of IMPERIAL CONCORDE.
RICKFIELD, which was following VOLPINO, was hampered in consequence.
After the 1300 Metres, HANG'S DECISION was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the turn near the 700 Metres, RICKFIELD got its head up and shifted out, resulting in RICKFIELD being awkwardly placed inside the heels of SUPER GIANT.
A veterinary inspection of HANG'S DECISION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CHUNG WAH SPIRIT and GAMEPLAYER EMPEROR were sent for sampling.

Favourite Chung Wah Spirit was too good at the 200m chasing the leader just off the fence in third to ring up a second straight win despite a return to Class Three. He's going great guns and should remain competitive next time out. Punted late Gameplayer Emperor stuck on well for second after pressing the soft pace of Midnight Rattler. He had no excuse but it was another good run on this surface despite a rise in trip. Specked late Ultimate Glory just got up for third racing one off fore of midfield. He can bob up now and then on either surface. Volpino got going late near the inside after settling fourth from the back to nearly place. He likely prefers a faster dirt strip. Imperial Concorde peaked on his run 100m out sitting closer than usual in midfield. He's acts best when allowed to find his feet at the back. Hang's Decision was never on the track without cover the entire trip travelling behind midfield. He can be forgiven for the run.
