Recap by phillip woo
Post-time favourite Honest Way just out-finished Flying Thunder for the win after quickening from near the back to lead 100m out. The win was much deserved after placing behind the talented Full Of Beauty in two prior starts. Early favourite Flying Thunder came on well following a one-off run in midfield to finish a clear-cut second. He's caught the eye in his past two starts and is ready to handle a longer trip. Punted late Smart Leader just held off Home Run for third after briefly finding the front 260m out following a one-out, one-back run in first-time blinkers. He's shown hints of ability but has been costly. Home Run got going late from the rear of the field to just miss a placing. He's a winner waiting to happen in Class Four. Dalradian was doing his best work late without menacing travelling one from the rear. Don't get too excited, he only beat struggling rivals and is destined for Class Four.
