Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Amazing Moment wore down Giddy Giddy in deep stretch for the win following a prominent run. He goes very well under Zac Purton in Class Four. Giddy Giddy reclaimed the lead at the 150m from Just Not Listening but couldn't hold off the winner in the drive to the wire. He's a model of consistency sprinting on this surface. Sensationallybacked Just Not Listening grudgingly gave way after working hard to lead from a wide gate at the 800m following a slow break. He's no world beater but acts on both surfaces and should pick up a race next season. Dr Proactive came up one-paced following a boxseat run. He's capable on both surfaces and the 1,400m might better suit him now. Specked late Precious Sweetie stuck on one-paced following a handy run in his first go on the surface. There's clearly improvement to come from this three-year-old.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (783) - SHUI LONG WO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

JUST NOT LISTENING began only fairly and then bumped KEEP GOING on jumping.

On jumping and again shortly after the start, A GOOD HORSE shifted out and bumped MICKEY RICH.

Near the 700 Metres, PRECIOUS SWEETIE was left racing wide and without cover.

GLITTERING ARMOUR travelled wide and without cover for the majority of the race.

At the 400 Metres, K C Leung (KEEP GOING) dropped his whip.

As this was the 3rd occasion that K C Leung had dropped his whip in races during the current racing season, he was placed on notice that should he offend again in a similar manner prior to the end of the season, further action may be taken.

After the race, T Berry (A GOOD HORSE) said his horse was making an abnormal breathing noise near the 700 Metres.

He said he rode A GOOD HORSE along for a short distance after this, however, as he had concerns over the horse's welfare, he eased it down rounding the Home Turn.

The performance of A GOOD HORSE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, A GOOD HORSE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of A GOOD HORSE immediately following the race noted that horse to have reduced left laryngeal movement.

The performance of ELITE SPIRIT, which also finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, ELITE SPIRIT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of ELITE SPIRIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on at the request of AMAZING MOMENT at the request of Trainer P O'Sullivan.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING MOMENT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

AMAZING MOMENT and GIDDY GIDDY were sent for sampling.
