Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (219)-CHEVALIER INSURANCE AND INVESTMENT HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres
ARIZONA BLIZZARD's arrival at the Start was delayed due to that horse shifting its right front plate which required the horse to be replated.APACHE SPIRIT began awkwardly and lost ground.
ARIZONA BLIZZARD was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, STAR OF YAN OI was crowded for room between GRAND HARBOUR and STARTLING POWER, both of which shifted ground.
Making the turn approaching the 700 Metres, SKY HERO momentarily raced in restricted room inside HARBOUR ALERT which got its head on the side and shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
At the 400 Metres, STARTLING POWER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GOLDEN SUN which was taken out by ARIZONA BLIZZARD.
At the entrance to the Straight, STAR OF YAN OI was awkwardly placed outside the heels of DILLY.
Then close to the finishing line, STAR OF YAN OI raced tight inside ARIZONA BLIZZARD.
SKY HERO, which was racing to the inside of STAR OF YAN OI, was momentarily inconvenienced in this incident.
ARIZONA BLIZZARD hung in over the final 200 Metres and proved very difficult to ride.
Throughout the race, GOLDEN SUN travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of HARBOUR ALERT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of LORD SINCLAIR immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer".
ARIZONA BLIZZARD and STAR OF YAN OI were sent for sampling.

Favourite Arizona Blizzard couldn't keep a straight line but did just hold off Star Of Yan Oi after hitting the front 100m out with a bold move from near the back following interference at the start. He's still a work in progress but looks a real smart one on this surface. Star Of Yan Oi likely would have won if not shifting about for a clear run following a midfield trip. He's caught the eye in back-to-back sprints on this surface and will be saluting shortly. Sky Hero was on his tippy toes late after assuming the front 300m out but still held on for a placing after tracking a swift pace. He's given a good sight in four runs on this surface this term but will need a claimer's allowance to offset the big weight to an earlier win. Fish N' Chips held on well after tracking the speed along the fence from a wide gate. He's running well but may require a return to Class Four. Grand Harbour is another who is running well without winning and will be better off a grade lower.
