Recap by phillip woo
Mambo Rock settled at the rear early on, eased into the open one off at the 300m and quickened well to grab the win 200m out at his second start with a rise in trip. He's still learning and does have more to come. Favourite Arm Runda settled in the box-seat, handed the lead when Fionn's City ran out badly passing the 900m, straightened two lengths on top and kept grinding away to hold second. He had no excuse. Debutant Amritsaria travelled second from the back, improved to second at the 600m following an incident at the 900m, straightened three deep and stayed on well to just miss second. Look Eras improved to travel deep in fourth following a slow break, drifted back to last upon straightening and made some ground widest out until peaking on his run 100m out. Holy Unicorn did appear a beaten runner when getting steadied between runners 150m out following a one-out, one-back run. Debutant Fionn's City showed good gate speed to lead before showing his inexperience and drifted out badly approaching the first bend. As such, he wiped out the chances of the second favourite Bear Chum who was travelling to his outside.
