Racing Incident Report
Race One: (565)-THE BEST FOOT FORWARD HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Metres
REUNITED began awkwardly and lost ground.SAFARI MAGIC began only fairly.
HAPPY FRIENDSHIP shifted out at the start and hampered LEAN JOURNEY.
From wide barriers, ZERO ENERGY ACT, SUPER KING STAR and ENCHANTING DIAMOND were shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, SUPERKING DRAGON was left racing wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
The performance of SUPERKING DRAGON, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SUPERKING DRAGON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Passing the 450 Metres, SAFARI MAGIC was bumped by CRIMSON HEART which shifted out to improve.
Passing the 100 Metres, the whip of M Chadwick (HAPPY FRIENDSHIP) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of O Doleuze (HURRY HURRY UP).
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ENCHANTING DIAMOND was lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, ENCHANTING DIAMOND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of SUPER KING STAR and DRAGON ENERGY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SAFARI MAGIC, NOVEL START and HAPPY FRIENDSHIP were sent for sampling.

Specked late, Novel Start enjoyed a dream run on the back of the speed, eased out coming to the final bend and wore down Hurry Hurry Up 100m out for a sixth career win at his third try over this trip. Happy Friendship finished nicely near the inside following a midfield run to make it close on the wire. He's better over the 1,800m. Hurry Hurry Up grudgingly gave way after cornering two lengths on top following an uncontested lead. Late-fancied favourite Safari Magic produced only a grinding run after peeling out five wide coming to the final bend following a handy run one off the fence. Crimson Heart only plodded on four deep when asked for an effort following a one-out, one-back run. Zero Energy Act made some ground near the inside after travelling fourth from the rear along the rails. He wasn't suited by the race tempo. Zachary made only a mild bid following a one-off trip travelling worse than midfield. Punted late, Dragon Energy ran on without menacing three from the right after a deep run travelling fifth from the rear. Glory Star was running on empty 200m out after pressing forward from a wide gate to sit second in the run.
