Andrea Atzeni is optimistic Our Lucky Glory will handle a rise in grade when the in-form galloper chases a third straight win at Happy Valley on Wednesday night.
The Italian jockey picked up the handy ride with Harry Bentley, who has guided Our Lucky Glory to victory at his past two starts, set to ride Solar Partner in the Class Three Seine Handicap (1,200m).
In his first stint with the Chris So Wai-yin stable, Our Lucky Glory followed a solid second to Beauty Infinity in February with back-to-back Class Four triumphs at the city circuit.
A Class Three winner back in 2022 for Douglas Whyte, the former Brazilian galloper drops 13 pounds on his last-start win to carry 119 on Wednesday night.

“He’s a good ride to pick up,” Atzeni said.
“Obviously he’s won his last two and he’s up in grade, but he’s done nothing wrong and he’s got a decent draw (barrier five), which he’s had in his last two also.
“It’s never easy up in grade, but horses like him when they’re on song winning their last two races, it would have done his confidence a lot of good.
“Sometimes when they’re carrying near enough to top weight in Class Four, when they go up to Class Three with a light weight, the weight advantage can be helpful.”
While Atzeni is confident Our Lucky Glory can figure prominently, he conceded another in-form galloper, Copartner Prance, looks hard to beat.
The Francis Lui Kin-wai-trained gelding will be chasing a fourth straight victory, having racked up a hat-trick by a combined four lengths.
“He’s done nothing wrong his last three starts, he went up to Class Three last start and won quite impressively, so he’s the one to beat,” Atzeni said.
“But my horse has done nothing wrong and if we get a good trip, we should be competitive again.”

Fifth in the jockeys’ premiership with 39 wins this season, Atzeni will also bid to add to his haul when he teams up again with I Can in the second section of the Class Four Ciron Handicap (1,650m).
He guided the Pierre Ng Pang-chi-trained gelding to a half-length victory over Can’t Go Wong in the Class Four Incheon Handicap (1,650m) at Happy Valley on April 24.
It was a breakthrough result for the former New Zealand galloper, who had managed just one placing from his first eight Hong Kong starts.
“It took a bit of time for him to come to form,” Atzeni said.
“He’s a horse who mentally was a bit immature. He had a good draw in his last race and everything went smoothly.
“He’s got to carry top weight (135 pounds), which is not easy, and we could have used a better draw [than eight]. But he’s a horse that needed to win to get his confidence up and I think we can step up from now.”
Awesome Fluke, Joy In Joy, Mr Aladdin and Fairy Horse are Atzeni’s other rides on Wednesday night.
“Mr Aladdin is consistent and he likes Happy Valley,” Atzeni said of the Ng-trained gelding, who tackles the first section of the Ciron Handicap.
“I know he hasn’t won yet, but he hasn’t been very far away in this class, so he’s not without a chance.
“It would be nice to get to 40 wins and then kick on for the rest of the season.”
