John Moore and John Size have owned the Group Two Chairman's Trophy over the past decade but the aces lie with the latter in today's edition with Contentment getting the race map to land the trophy.
In the past 10 runnings of the Chairman's Trophy (1,600m), Moore has won four times, Size four times and only the victories of Andreas Schutz-trained Good Ba Ba in 2007 and Caspar Fownes-trained Packing Whiz (2013) have interrupted that pattern.
The two top handlers again hold the strongest hand this afternoon, Size saddling up the favourite Contentment (Brett Prebble) and Moore with Designs On Rome (Tommy Berry), Rewarding Hero (Joao Moreira) and Dashing Fellow in the field of eight.
So Moore has the numbers and he'll have one runner forward, one runner back and one in the middle, all bases covered as far as pace goes, but the map still looks like Contentment will get every chance to repeat his Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup victory of last start and that should be good enough to see him home first.
Dashing Fellow and Multivictory look the potential pacemakers in the race but without any necessity to run them along too quickly, and Contentment should take up his usual position right on the back of them, with all the options before him and ready to pounce when heads are turned for home.
Contentment is nothing if not consistent, with nine wins and four placings from career of 16 starts. He has a bombproof racing style, up on pace, and will again look the winner at the 250m as he goes to the leaders before Rewarding Hero, Beauty Only (Neil Callan) and Designs On Rome all attempt to get over him late.
He has been beaten just once - and unluckily - in six attempts at 1,400m so the return to a mile is probably some encouragement for his rivals, although Contentment's record there is pretty sound too, with seven starts for three wins and three placings at the distance.
We saw a different Rewarding Hero last time when he defeated Luger, albeit at handicap conditions, when he was able to lay up closer in just an even tempo and it won't surprise if Moreira again has him in the first four as the remaining runners lack early speed or step from the gates slowly.
He and Beauty Only look the dangers, both strong finishers at the 1,600m who will be closing late but the bird might just have flown.
Designs On Rome finishes as well as any of them and he can win if it pans out just right for him, but his problem is getting into the race.
Berry loops strongly on him from the 800m over 2,000m where his stamina comes into play, but others here might have too much dash for him between the 600m and 300m as the leaders step up the tempo.
