Super Tiger is yet to win for trainer David Hall, but drawn one as he steps up to the extended mile, the five-year-old looks a decent banker in the Triple Trio at Happy Valley tomorrow night.

Super Tiger won two from four in Australia, his best win as a three-year-old over 1,600m at Moonee Valley, and likewise his best performance locally was over that same trip.

It always pays to give a Private Purchase one season's grace to acclimatise, and during that period Super Tiger's rating has dropped from 75 to 57 - seeing him enter Class Four for the first time last start.

Resuming over 1,400m and drawn 10 for Brett Prebble, Super Tiger was taken back to near the tail and was a fast-finishing third behind Goldland Dancer, Hall's hopeful finishing his last 400m in a tick under 23 seconds.

Previous to the impressive first-up showing, Super Tiger's best performances were shortly after arriving - finishing third first-up over 1,200m at Happy Valley and again placing behind Finezza and Let's Goal in a Class Three over 1,600m at Sha Tin.

The gelding can be slow to muster, but that is offset by drawing one and the aggressive Prebble aboard, who should be able to keep him close enough in the run.

There should be speed to help Super Tiger, with last-start Class Five winner Real Dragon (Matthew Chadwick) likely to roll forward and be challenged by Fortune Together (Howard Cheng Yue-tin).

Others to include are Magnaminous (Vincent Ho Chak-yiu), Cosmo One (Douglas Whyte), Mochi (Zac Purton) and Winsome (Jacky Tong Chi-kit).

The Class Four opening leg features a typically well-prepared John Size-trained first-starter, Happy Era (Whyte), whose last trial around the city circuit should see the northern hemisphere three-year-old start close to favourite.

Barrier six will help and he can act as a banker, but there are a number of dangers and what could be frantic early stages to negotiate.

Heco Rider's first run was a write-off as he was trapped wide, but since then Prebble has given the four-year-old a pipe-opener in an 800m turf trial and a solid tempo will help him.

Oyster (Eddie Lai Wai-ming) drew 12 first time out over the course and distance and flew home to finish second. He is a massive chance, and expect a sneaky go for Perfect Joy (Terry Wong Chi-wai). Another two to consider are Caspar Fownes' first-starter Cheers Victories (Ho) and Forza (Purton), who endured a horror run last start.

The final leg is over the rarely run 2,200m course - and while Victory Mascot (Chadwick) has won just one from 26 in Class Three, the seven-year-old has won four from 11 over the course and distance.

Real Generous gets the benefit of Alvin Ng Ka-chun's claim, and the five-year-old should be an easy ride from gate two - he is another prospective banker.

Consider Tres Magnifique (Richard Fourie), Endowing (Whyte) and Eagle Spirit (Tim Clark).
