The Hong Kong government has social distancing guidelines in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19.With the world still in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the Hong Kong government has introduced a raft of guidelines meant to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Here are the latest social distancing rules and regulations for the city.
Dining
Restaurants are allowed to serve dine-in customers until midnight starting on Friday, September 18. They can only have a maximum of four people per table and can only operate at 50 per cent of their maximum capacity.
Public gatherings
Public group gatherings of more than four people are still prohibited and you must wear a mask in all public areas. You do not have to wear a mask if you are exercising outdoors or in a country park.
Swimming pools are allowed to reopen at reduced capacity.
Sports venues
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will reopen some venues in phases starting on September 18. These include feecharging soccer pitches, basketball and volleyball courts, rugby pitches and others, although the maximum number of people allowed at each venue remains at four.
Some non-fee charging facilities will remain closed until further notice. These include public beaches, outdoor team sports courts, barbecue sites and others.

Swimming pools
Swimming pools will also reopen starting from September 18 and will operate at 50 per cent of their maximum capacity. The spectator stands will be closed and alternate shower cubicles will be closed to maintain a safe social distance between swimmers.
The Hong Kong Museum of Art will reopen but visiting sessions will be restricted.
Museums
Museums in Hong Kong will also be allowed to reopen from September 18. Individual institutions will have their own rules regarding visiting sessions, length of visits and other precautions. Please visit the individual websites of the museums for further details.
Amusement parks
Ocean Park will reopen on September 18 at reduced capacity. Visitors must make an online reservation prior to their visit or they will not be allowed to enter the park.
Disneyland is also expected to reopen on September 18, although specific details have not been releases so far.
Cinemas and amusement parks in Hong Kong will operate at reduced capacity.
Cinemas
Cinemas continue to operate at reduced capacity with some seating restrictions to preserve a safe social distance between movie-goers. No food will be served at cinemas for the time being.
Other entertainment venues
Bars, pubs, karaoke lounges and nightclubs haven been given the green light to reopen on September 18, but they are only allowed to seat two people per table and operate at half capacity. They must also close at midnight.
