Racing Incident Report
Race One : (828) - MIRACULOUS HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 EURO ROCKS (H153) P N Wong Shifted out shortly after the start and made contact with SIGHT DREAMER.
Between the 450 Metres and the 200 Metres was badly held up for clear running and was taken back when CAMP FIRE gave ground.
After the event Apprentice P N Wong stated that her instructions were to go forward but not necessarily lead the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 SANTORINI (J076) A Badel After the event A Badel stated that from the outside barrier his instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.
Horse No 4 SIGHT DREAMER (J542) A Atzeni Bumped shortly after the start.
In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 700 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid YOO YOO KNIGHT.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 FIGHT TIME (H409) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 PANDA LEGEND (H002) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly.
After being held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres then raced tight to the inside of MAGIC COMBO for a short distance near the 200 Metres when improving to the inside of that horse.
As a result PANDA LEGEND made contact with YOO YOO KNIGHT.
Horse No 7 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) H Bowman Bumped on jumping.
Lay in over the concluding stages and near the 50 Metres rider H Bowman was obliged to stop riding and correct his mount.
Horse No 8 SMILING COLLECTOR (G128) H Bentley Slow to begin.
After the event H Bentley reported that with blinkers being applied for the first time his mount raced keenly throughout the race and did not run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a continuous epiglottic entrapment.
Horse No 9 THE CONCENTRATION (H465) K C Leung Near the 50 Metres was momentarily crowded when YOUNG HORIZON shifted in before being corrected by its rider H Bowman.
Horse No 10 CAMP FIRE (J259) J Orman Shifted in on jumping and made contact with YOUNG HORIZON.
After the event J Orman stated that he had to make some use of his mount in the early stages to cross to the lead.
He said when SIGHT DREAMER improved to his outside on entering the Home Straight his mount gave ground from that point on.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 FAIRY HORSE (J144) E C W Wong Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
On the Home Turn was held up for clear running behind PANDA LEGEND.
Horse No 12 NINJA DERBY (H339) Y L Chung After the event Y L Chung stated that after commencing awkwardly his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to take up a forward position as instructed.
He said as a result NINJA DERBY was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 14 YOO YOO KNIGHT (H053) M Chadwick Near the 200 Metres was bumped by PANDA LEGEND when giving ground.

Sight Dreamer following a prominent run one off the fence rushed to the lead near the 300m pole and edged clear in the dying stages for a first win at his 10th start. Fight Time couldn't get by the winner after drawing nearly level 300m out following a one-off trip from midfield. He should pick up win early next season at this level. Panda Legend ran on well near the inside for third after getting held up early straight travelling behind midfield on the fence. It was an improved effort following a downgrade. Young Horizon had to settle for fourth after peaking on his run 100m out following a wide and without cover trip from behind midfield. Magic Combo ran on steadily for fifth after a rail run from midfield. It was his best effort from seven starts following a downgrade.
