Race Five : (206) - CHEVALIER INSURANCE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 WONDERSTAR (J531) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris stated that his mount, which was having its first start on the All Weather Track, did not appreciate racing on the surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 SOLID IMPACT (E447) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 6 PACKING BOLE (H246) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337) J McDonald Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 AURIO (K056) M L Yeung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 MAGNIAC (H141) K De Melo After the event, K De Melo stated that when he was concerned there was something amiss with his mount near the 150 Metres and when not in a competitive position, he eased it down from the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of MAGNIAC was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, MAGNIAC will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 11 MUST GO (J133) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.

Self Improvement settled prominently without cover at times, but hit the lead 200m out and won going away for a third win from 13 starts over the dirt 1,200m. Must Go just outdashed Super Win Dragon for second after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in back-to-back runs. Super Win Dragon made it close for second after sitting with cover in midfield from gate five. It was a better effort after an opening win from two outings this term. Well backed to jump favourite, Packing Bole just held on for fourth without threatening the first three after clearing to the lead 800m out from gate 11. It was a typical performance. Life Is Back dashed late for fifth after a wide trip towards the rear. It was an encouraging debut effort and he will be looking forward to a step up to a mile trip. Tale Of Perth came from last to just miss fifth prize money. It was an improved performance. Solid Impact ran on all right to finish next best after settling one off with cover travelling behind midfield from the widest draw. It was a pleasing first effort on the dirt surface.
