Race Four : (478) - KWOON CHUNG INTERCONTINENTAL LIMOUSINE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 ATOMIC FORCE (G221) H Bentley A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 LIGHTNING BOLT (G130) H Bowman Near the 450 Metres made slight contact with ROMANTIC NOVELIST when both runners shifted ground slightly, resulting in LIGHTNING BOLT becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
Over the concluding stages lay in, resulting in its rider H Bowman having to stop riding and straighten his mount approaching the winning post.
As a consequence, LIGHTNING BOLT could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 LUCKY ARCHANGEL (E385) C L Chau A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 COLOURFUL EMPEROR (H167) Y L Chung Near the 300 Metres was bumped by ACT OF FAITH, resulting in its rider Apprentice Y L Chung having to straighten his mount.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ACT OF FAITH (H082) B Avdulla Approaching the 300 Metres made contact with COLOURFUL EMPEROR when being shifted out to obtain a narrow run between HARMONY N BLESSED and COLOURFUL EMPEROR.
As a result, ACT OF FAITH then raced tight between those runners for a short distance thereafter.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 BEAUTY GLORY (E459) Z Purton Slow to begin and then was crowded by ATOMIC FORCE which shifted out.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when held up behind HARMONY N BLESSED.
Horse No 8 MEGA BONUS (E184) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 ROMANTIC NOVELIST (J167) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Approaching the 300 Metres blundered.
Approaching the 150 Metres was disappointed for clear running between MEGA BONUS and LUCKY ARCHANGEL and was then shifted to the outside of MEGA BONUS where it secured clear running.

After making his run one off the rail 800m from home, favourite Colourful Emperor kept finding when challenged by Act Of Faith for a first local win at his ninth start. Act Of Faith just found one too good after settling prominently one off the fence from an outside gate. He's threatening to win a race in this grade. Harmony N Blessed gradually faded to finish third after assuming the lead from Colourful Emperor 800m out. He couldn't quite get the job done carrying top weight. Lightning Bolt ran on nicely down the outside to nip Mega Bonus for fourth after a patient ride in second last. It was a better effort than his past few starts but he is only rated a point above an earlier win over this course and distance. Mega Bonus stayed on reasonably well after getting caught wide on the speed early on from an outside gate. He's given a decent sight in two of his past three runs in this grade. Atomic Force ran on steadily without threatening after travelling one off the rail in midfield. He couldn't back up a near win on his last start. Lucky Archangel had no excuse after a handy run.
