Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (457) - TAI PO HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CHIU CHOW BROTHER (E188) A Badel Jumped only fairly, shifted in and was bumped shortly after the start.
After the race, A Badel reported that his mount raced "flat??throughout the event and gave ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, CHIU CHOW BROTHER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 MY INTELLIGENT (G031) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 FIRE BALL (D087) B Thompson Approaching the 300 Metres was crowded between FORTUNE MASTER and PRECISION GOAL (C L Chau) which shifted out.
C L Chau was reprimanded.
As a result, FIRE BALL then did not obtain clear running until after the 200 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352) A Atzeni Over the concluding stages shifted in and bumped HERO ICON.
Horse No 5 HERO ICON (G422) M Chadwick Bumped at the start.
Over the concluding stages was bumped by MODEST GENTLEMAN which shifted in.
Horse No 6 TACTICAL COMMAND (H197) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 DOUBLE SHOW (G250) K Teetan Bumped at the start.
Near the 600 Metres was taken out slightly by FORTUNE MASTER and as a result raced wide and without cover thereafter.
Horse No 8 PRECISION GOAL (H016) C L Chau Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 MILLENNIUM FALCON (D281) H Bentley Bumped on jumping.
Near the 800 Metres raced keenly when being crossed by CHIU CHOW BROTHER.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Horse No 10 EASY TWO (G423) K C Leung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages and raced keenly.
Held up for clear running approaching the 250 Metres and near the 200 Metres was steadied when crowded between PRECISION GOAL which shifted in slightly and NOIR RIDER (M L Yeung) which shifted out.
M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care.
Over the final 50 Metres could not be ridden out when positioned close to the heels of HERO ICON.
Horse No 11 FORTUNE MASTER (D371) A Hamelin After travelling a short distance was hampered when crowded between FIRE BALL and CHIU CHOW BROTHER which shifted out.
Lay in in the Home Straight and approaching the 50 Metres shifted in and bumped NOIR RIDER.
Horse No 12 NOIR RIDER (E138) M L Yeung Near the 1000 Metres was steadied when crowded between TACTICAL COMMAND and MODEST GENTLEMAN which shifted in and away from CHIU CHOW BROTHER despite the efforts of its rider A Atzeni.
Leaving the 100 Metres was steadied when crowded between FORTUNE MASTER which shifted in slightly and MODEST GENTLEMAN (A Atzeni) which shifted out.
A Atzeni was severely reprimanded and advised to stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than he did on this occasion.

Following a tardy start, favourite Tactical Command made his run on the fence and ran down My Intelligent in the final few metres for a maiden win at his 11th start. After tracking the speed from gate 10, My Intelligent went for home on top at the 300m marker but could not get the win. He relished a return to the Valley 1,200m at his third run in the grade this term. Millennium Falcon kept on well for third after settling in the box seat. He's well rated and can bob up at any moment. Double Show got going late down the outside for fourth after biding his time four wide towards the rear. It was another honest effort. Fortune Master stayed on reasonably well for fifth after travelling wide with cover behind midfield. It was another positive showing from him. Hero Icon made some ground without threatening after making his run two from the rear. Plunged late, Modest Gentlemen just plodded when asked for an effort following a handy run. After settling one off the fence in midfield, Fire Ball got chopped off early in the straight and couldn't recover.
