Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (146) - LA ESTEPHE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 BEAUTY CRESCENT (H334) Y L Chung Steadied near the 950 Metres.
After being crossed by NORTHERN BEACHES near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and improved to the inside of NORTHERN BEACHES and as a result raced tight to the inside of that runner for some distance thereafter.
Apprentice Y L Chung, was advised that in similar circumstance he would be expected to shift his mounts to the outside to avoid placing them in an awkward position.
Passing the 100 Metres was steadied when crowded by GLOBAL HARMONY (K Teetan) which shifted in.
K Teetan was reprimanded.
Horse No 2 SOLID IMPACT (E447) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 3 ARMOUR EAGLE (G093) A Hamelin Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 4 GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490) L Hewitson Near the 950 Metres was steadied when crowded between LADY'S CHOICE and GREENWICH which shifted out slightly.
For some distance after the 200 Metres was held up for clear running behind LADY'S CHOICE and after the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running between BEAUTY CRESCENT and LADY'S CHOICE which shifted out slightly.
Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when positioned close to the heels of GLOBAL HARMONY.
Horse No 5 GLOBAL HARMONY (G337) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 NORTHERN BEACHES (H266) M Chadwick From the 800 Metres was obliged to race wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 LADY'S CHOICE (H155) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 MASTER STROKE (J036) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 12 GREENWICH (H328) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.

Drifting early favourite, Global Harmony responded well to overhaul Lady's Choice 50m out after making his run one off from behind midfield for a first local win at his ninth start. He lived up to three solid trials after putting the writing on the wall with seconds in three of his final four runs last term. Lady's Choice found one just too good after moving to the lead 150m out following a speed-tracking run outside Greenwich from an outside draw. It was a solid run despite a rise in class. Beauty Crescent stayed on well for third despite being short of room until the last 150m following a one-off run from midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen after placing in three of four starts this term. Golden Empire kept on reasonably well to fill the frame after a box seat run. He rarely produces a bad run and should come on for the effort. Post-time favourite Greenwich was on his tippy toes 100m out after getting his own way in front from gate three. Swift Ascend made a mild bid after a rails run from midfield. He's gone okay in both local runs but is still acclimatising.
