Favourite Helene Feeling wore down long-time leader E Legend 50m out for a second win to go with three placings from as many local starts. It was a solid performance carrying 134 pounds and he should remain competitive up in grade. Plunged late, E Legend wouldn't go down without a fight after dictating a moderate pace leading from gate 13. He handled the rise in trip without a problem after filling the frame in three prior starts. Bon's A Pearla finished a close third after getting every chance tracking the leading pair on the fence. It was his best effort from seven local starts in his second outing for the Pierre Ng Pang-chi stable. Leading Fortune just finished out of the placings after a one-out, one-back run. He's always a chance over this trip. Snaffles ran on steadily after a rails run from midfield. It was a good effort after a bleed in March. Cheery made ground late after a rails run from behind midfield. He wasn't suited by the tempo of the race. California Voce ran on without threatening after making his run one from the rear. He just had the race to suit in his past two starts.

Shortly after the start, CHEERY was bumped by BEAUTY MISSILE which shifted in.

From the outside barrier, ROMANTIC LAOS was shifted across behind runners in the early stages and raced keenly.

From a wide barrier, ENTRUSTED was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After travelling a short distance, PACKING KNOCKHILL shifted in and away from C P BRAVE and crowded CALIFORNIA VOCE.

Near the 350 Metres, BON'S A PEARLA changed stride and then became unbalanced a short distance later.

A veterinary inspection of NICHOLSON RETURNS and ROMANTIC LAOS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

HELENE FEELING and E LEGEND were sent for sampling.
