Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (373) - ABLE FRIEND HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
ROYAL BOMB, which was leaning on the inside of its barrier as the start was effected, began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of HANDSOME TWELVE.
FIND MY LOVE shifted in at the start and inconvenienced NORDIC STAR.
From wide barriers, SO WE JOY and LEADING FORTUNE were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, BEAUTY CHAMP got its head up when awkwardly placed outside the heels of WINNING DRAGON.
Making the turn after the 1400 Metres, TRADER got its head on the side and lay out.
After the 550 Metres, BEAR SLAM was shifted out away from the heels of BEAUTY CHAMP which got its head on the side and shifted out away from YES WE CAN.
BEAUTY CHAMP was then shifted out away from the heels of WINNING DRAGON near the 500 Metres.
The performances of TRADER and NORDIC SKY, both of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, TRADER and NORDIC SKY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of WINNING DRAGON, SATIRICAL GLORY and BEAUTY CHAMP immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ROYAL BOMB and HANDSOME TWELVE were sent for sampling.

Royal Bomb quickened nicely to win going away 100m out after a prominent run on the fence. He had been knocking on the door and the booking of visiting rider Jamie Kah worked the oracle. Late-fancied favourite Handsome Twelve ran on nicely from midfield to finish second without menacing the winner. It was another good run on the surface with a return to Class Three. So We Joy made good ground late near the inside to fill a placing after a patient ride fifth last from a wide draw. He's always a chance on this surface. Yes We Can ran on to fill a top-four spot after saving ground from behind midfield. It was another honest effort on this surface. Early favourite True Legend was on his tippy toes 100m out after turning the final bend three lengths on top. The big weight took its toll. Nordic Star ran on without threatening after a patient ride two from the rear. He's gone all right. Leading Fortune ran on late down the outside ridden cold from a wide draw. He needed the outing. Satirical Glory was yielding ground 150m out after chasing the speed one off in third. He is better suited on turf.
