Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (205) - CHEVALIER HEALTHCARE INVESTMENT HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters
BEAUTY LIVE was slow to begin.
FIND MY LOVE began awkwardly and bumped the inside of its gate on jumping.
Then after the 1300 Metres, FIND MY LOVE commenced to prove very difficult to settle and got its head up when awkwardly placed outside the heels of CHANCHENG PRINCE.
ATOMIC BEAUTY shifted out at the start and inconvenienced SIGHT SPIRIT.
ATOMIC BEAUTY was then crowded for room between SIGHT SPIRIT and JUMBO FORTUNE which shifted out.
After this, SIGHT SPIRIT and JUMBO FORTUNE were shifted across behind runners from wide barriers.
Also from a wide barrier, CZARSON was steadied on jumping to obtain a position closer to the rail.
Near the 1250 Metres, SIGHT SPIRIT and JUMBO FORTUNE raced tight.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, CHANCHENG PRINCE commenced to travel keenly and shifted out away from the heels of SILVER EXPRESS.
After this, CHANCHENG PRINCE travelled wide and without cover.
PACKING TREADMILL raced wide and without cover in the early stages and after the 800 Metres was allowed to improve its position to race outside the lead near the 650 Metres.
At the entrance to the Straight, FIND MY LOVE improved into tight running between SIGHT SPIRIT and JUMBO FORTUNE which shifted out marginally.
This resulted in FIND MY LOVE being disappointed for running between JUMBO FORTUNE and SIGHT SPIRIT near the 350 Metres.
BEAUTY LIVE was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and near the 350 Metres was shifted to the inside of ATOMIC BEAUTY to commence improving.
BEAUTY LIVE then raced tight between ATOMIC BEAUTY and SNAFFLES after the 300 Metres and at the 100 Metres was steadied when disappointed for running between SHINING GEM and SNAFFLES, both of which shifted ground.
Near the 100 Metres, SNAFFLES was awkwardly placed close to the heels of KING LAND when being shifted out from behind that horse to obtain clear running.
After the race, C Y Ho was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of JUMBO FORTUNE.
He said after obtaining a position behind midfield with cover, he shifted his mount to the outside of runners at the entrance to the Straight and anticipated that it would quicken, however, JUMBO FORTUNE failed to show a turn of foot and then in the Straight finished the race off only fairly.
A veterinary inspection of JUMBO FORTUNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, BUDDIES was noted to have bled from both nostrils.
PACKING TREADMILL and KING LAND were sent for sampling.

Races 5 - 10 were each put back 5 minutes.

Trainers A S Cruz and T P Yung were each fined $3,000 for working an extra horse on the Large All Weather Track on Sunday, 27 November 2022 when only three horses were permitted to use the track due to weather restrictions.

Racing Laboratory tests of HAPPILY FRIENDS, U W BROTHER, SHENRON, JAZZ STEED, UNIVERSAL CROWN, OUR CLASS ACT, LESLIE, KUNG FU TEA, CIRCUIT ELITE, CHATER PINS, GOLD GOLD BABY, SAVVY CHIC, COLONEL, ADIOS, GOLD MARQUIS, GALLANT WAKING, BEAUTY GLORY, EXCELLENT PEERS, NAMJONG SINGS, THE IRISHMAN, PACKING AWARD, MR ASCENDENCY, COMET SPLENDIDO, WINNING DRAGON and PEGASUS GENERAL (16.11.22) proved negative.

Favourite Packing Treadmill was posted wide in a prominent spot, rolled forward to sit outside the leader 700m out, shot for home on top and kept on gamely for a fifth win from seven starts. The step up to 1,400m was not a problem and he clearly can win again. Punted late King Land stayed on nicely to take second after a box-seat run. He backed up an upset win last start over 1,200m. Winning Method ran on nicely near the inside from midfield to make it close for second. He was naturally fitter for a run last month. Snaffles weaved a run late near the inside to spice up the Quartet after making his run four back on the fence. It was a much-improved effort second-up following the removal of blinkers. Shining Gem gradually faded after a pace-stalking role. It was better effort with a move to a 10-pound claimer. Beauty Live stayed on without menacing after a one-off run worse than midfield. He needed the outing off 155-day break. Sight Spirit ran on without menacing after making his run third last from a wide gate. Jumbo Fortune never landed a blow travelling deep with cover towards the rear. He's not reliable.
