Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (31) - NORTH POINT HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
The Veterinary Officer reported that on arrival at the Start FABULOUS EIGHT was found to be lame in the right front leg and accordingly was not suitable to race.
Acting on this advice, FABULOUS EIGHT was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, FABULOUS EIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
LUCKY GOR began only fairly.
As the start was effected, CALIFORNIA FOREST turned its head to the right and consequently began only fairly.
GLORY BO BO became unbalanced on jumping after bumping SUPER COMMANDER.
Near the 650 Metres, PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN was awkwardly placed inside the heels of NEXTMODEL.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, SEE U AGAIN shifted out away from the heels of NEXTMODEL.
GLORY BO BO, which was following, was shifted out away from the heels of that horse in consequence.
Passing the 200 Metres, LUCKY GOR was shifted in away from the heels of SUPER COMMANDER.
PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN and LUCKY GOR were sent for sampling.

Pounded late to jump favourite, Pretty Queen Prawn edged clear 50m out after enjoying all favours in the box seat from a rare good draw. It was his maiden win at his 12th start, but the writing was on the wall following an eye-catching run last Wednesday. Lucky Gor ran on well for second travelling handy along the fence after an awkward start. He's a winner waiting to happen. Super Commander kept on gamely for third after working very hard to clear for the lead from a wide draw 600m out. It was another good effort following a win last Wednesday. Early favourite See U Again only plodded after a prominent run. He couldn't back up a near win seven days back. Glory Bo Bo ran on late after biding his time two from the rear. He's still a work in progress. Nextmodel didn't find much when asked for more in the straight run after a pace-stalking run. He's destined for Class Five. California Forest was never a factor out the back after a slow start. Newcomer Speedstar showed nothing making his run one from the rear and will require more time and experience. Fabulous Eight was withdrawn by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice.
