Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (815) - THE IP JUG (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Meters
LIGHTNING BOLT began only fairly.
EVERYONE'S VICTORY was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover from a wide barrier and approaching the 1150 Metres was awkwardly placed outside the heels of ELON.
Also from a wide barrier, LUCKY FUN was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 800 Metres, CALL ME TEDDY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MAN STAR when being shifted across behind that horse.
Passing the 600 Metres, ELON and CALL ME TEDDY bumped as a result of CALL ME TEDDY shifting in marginally away from the heels of MAN STAR.
After this, ELON and CALL ME TEDDY raced tight, resulting in CALL ME TEDDY becoming unbalanced passing the 500 Metres when bumped on the hindquarters by ELON which was racing tight outside CALIFORNIA CONCORD.
CALL ME TEDDY was then steadied passing the 400 Metres when continuing to race tight between SUPER WIN DRAGON and ELON which was taken out marginally by CALIFORNIA CONCORD.
Near the 100 Metres, the whip of Z Purton (CALL ME TEDDY) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of J Moreira (ELON).
Throughout the race, MAN STAR and SUPER WIN DRAGON travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of VALIANT ELEGANCE immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
A veterinary inspection of CALL ME TEDDY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CALL ME TEDDY, JOLLY RULER and SUPER WIN DRAGON were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Jolly Ruler held off the late surge of Super Win Dragon after moving to the front 250m out chasing the speed one off in third for a first win at his seventh start. He did catch the eye with a switch to the dirt last start. Well-backed late Super Win Dragon ran on nicely down the outside to make it close on the wire after travelling four wide without cover towards the rear from gate 12. He was up in grade off a light weight but does love this surface. Spontaneous stayed on nicely after a one-off trip in midfield. He's run with merit twice in this grade following a Class Four win in May. Specked late Man Star loomed up and peaked on his run 100m out travelling wide without cover better than midfield. Post-time favourite Call Me Teddy made a steady bid late after a wide with cover run behind midfield. Lightning Bolt weaved a run late near the inside to finish next best travelling fourth last after a slow start. It was a better effort. Everyone's Victory ran on late without menacing down the outside settling near last from a tricky gate. Elon made a mild bid without ever looking chance travelling behind midfield.
