Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (734) - HIBISCUS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800Meters
PASSING FASHION bumped the outside of its stall on jumping.
LEGION OF MERIT lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and then was crowded for room between SUPERB DADDY and BRIGHT KID, both of which shifted ground.
After this, SUPERB DADDY was steadied and shifted across behind runners.
From a wide barrier, WINNING VOLATILITY was steadied to obtain cover in the early stages.
Also from the outside barrier, CHATER PINS was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
CHATER PINS then travelled keenly in the early stages and passing the winning post on the first occasion was left racing wide and without cover.
After being shifted to the inside of VICTORIOUS SEEKER near the 1700 Metres, MURRAY'S PARTNERS was crowded for room inside that horse which shifted in before being directed out to relieve the crowding.
MURRAY'S PARTNERS then raced tight inside the hindquarters of VICTORIOUS SEEKER near the 1600 Metres as VICTORIOUS SEEKER got its head on the side and lay in away from GOLDEN SPECTRUM.
When being steadied after the 1700 Metres, SURREALISM travelled keenly and got its head up on a number of occasions.
At the 300 Metres, KYRUS UNICORN, which was laying in, was shifted in across the heels of SURREALISM after being disappointed for running between that horse and LEGION OF MERIT.
Close to the finishing line, LUCKY DIAMOND and SURREALISM raced tight.
A veterinary inspection of WINNING VOLATILITY and CHATER PINS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
KYRUS UNICORN, LUCKY DIAMOND and SURREALISM were sent for sampling.

Lucky Diamond kept finding late to just deny Surrealism after hitting the front 200m out after stalking the leader Passion Fashion from a wide draw for a third win this season. He appeared to enjoy a recent stint in Conghua. Surrealism came to win the race 100m out after a box-seat run but came up just short in a bob of the heads. He relished the downgrade but the nine-pound swing in the weights was the difference in the end. Favourite Kyrus Unicorn ran on well for third after peeling off heels 150m out following a handy run along the fence. He relished a return to the course of a win two back over the Valley 1,650m. Bright Kid ran on nicely for fourth after peeling into the open 200m out following a patient ride one from the rear. He's close to a bottom. Golden Spectrum ran on steadily without menacing after a one-off trip in midfield. He's not far off a bottom. Punted late, Passing Fashion grudgingly gave way after dictating the run from gate one. He's a Class Five horse. Chater Pins was a non-factor after a wide run without cover behind midfield the entire trip. You can put a pen through this run. Winning Volatility never figured after a deep run towards the rear from a wide draw.
