Racing Incident Report
Race One: (453) - WO CHE HANDICAP - Class 5 - 2000Meters
GREAT TIMES shifted in at the start and inconvenienced FORTUNE TRIPLE.
From wide barriers, STAR OF GLORY, GO GO SIXTEEN, WEALTHY EMPLOYEE and SKY GEM were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
GREAT TIMES got its head up shortly after the start when being steadied to obtain cover.
After travelling a short distance, FORTUNE PATROL was awkwardly placed outside the heels of ALEE KING PRAWN which shifted out.
Approaching the 1400 Metres, AEROSONIC was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 700 Metres, AEROSONIC raced tight outside CROWN AVENUE when taken wider by that horse which shifted to the outside of SMILING FACE.
Passing the 500 Metres, TURF BRILLIANT was checked away from the heels of AEROSONIC when attempting to improve between that horse and WEALTHY EMPLOYEE which shifted out.
Approaching the 300 Metres, ALEE KING PRAWN was awkwardly placed inside FORTUNE PATROL which shifted in to obtain clear running.
STAR OF GLORY had some difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 300 Metres and was then shifted out a number of horses to obtain clear running near the 250 Metres.
After the race, J Moreira stated that after racing in restricted room between WEALTHY EMPLOYEE and TURF BRILLIANT passing the 600 Metres, SKY GEM immediately came off the bridle and then did not finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection of SKY GEM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DAILY CHARM, FORTUNE PATROL and CROWN AVENUE were sent for sampling.

Fortune Patrol was given a lovely ride to get up in deep stretch along the inside for a second straight win after a rails run in midfield. He's a horse in form and can win again in the grade. Punted late Crown Avenue found one just too good after hitting the front 250m out after a one-off run worse than midfield. He's never far off the mark on either surface in this grade. Post-time favourite Daily Charm kept finding to finish a close third after going forward three deep from a tricky gate to stalk the speed. It was a better effort on his past couple with a return to Class Five and can bob up at any moment. Star Of Glory made ground three from the right to fill the frame after making his run four back on the fence following a slow start. It was an improved effort following a downgrade. Early favourite Smiling Face peaked on his run 100m out after briefly working to the lead 300m out following a handy run with cover one off the fence. He had no excuse. Go Go Sixteen made some ground without ever looking a threat after settling a distant last from a wide draw. It was better run stepping up in distance but he's limited.
