Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (380) - CHAI WAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
MAJESTIC STAR stumbled at the start and then was bumped by SERGEANT PEPPER which shifted out.
SEVEN HEAVENS stumbled badly on jumping, shifted in and inconvenienced AMAZING CHOCOLATE which began only fairly.
RESOLUTE and EVERYONE'S VICTORY bumped at the start.
BEAR SLAM shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced HARMONY SPIRIT.
Then from the outside barriers, HARMONY SPIRIT and BEAR SLAM were steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 700 Metres, SUNSET WATCH got its head on the side and lay in towards the heels of MAJESTIC STAR, resulting in SUNSET WATCH being awkwardly placed behind that horse.
At the 650 Metres, MEGA HEART went amiss and was retired out of the race.
CALIFORNIA FOREST, which was following MEGA HEART, was checked away from the heels of that horse passing the 600 Metres.
AMAZING CHOCOLATE, which was also following MEGA HEART, was shifted out to avoid that horse passing the 600 Metres, resulting in BEAR SLAM being taken wider.
The Veterinary Surgeon subsequently reported that MEGA HEART had sustained an injury to the right front leg.
For the majority of the race, RESOLUTE travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of RESOLUTE, HARMONY SPIRIT and MAGIC SUPREME immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MAJESTIC STAR and EVERYONE'S VICTORY were sent for sampling.
Samples were also taken from MEGA HEART.

Second favourite Majestic Star closed well to take control 150m out after a prominent run one off the fence for a return to the winner's circle after returning to action with fourths in two prior starts this term. Favourite Everyone's Victory closed well to grab second after a one-off trip behind midfield from a tricky gate. It was a good run up in grade. Veteran Bear Slam came from last at the head of the straight down the middle to snatch third on the wire. It was his best run from five starts sprinting on the dirt following a stable change. Sergeant Pepper kept on well for fourth after vying for the front with Magic Supreme to his outside. It was an encouraging effort trying the dirt for the first time and he'll be one to reckon with if he opts for Class Four next time out. Amazing Chocolate came from near last to pick up a minor cheque after a tardy start. He has run with merit both times on the dirt from five outings this term. Magic Supreme seemed indecisive after jumping best of all from a wide draw and faded 100m out duelling for the front without cover. He had an excuse. Old-timer Mega Heart hampered California Forest after going amiss approaching the final bend following a box-seat run.
