Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (371) - KOTEWALL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to SPONTANEOUS was replaced.
BRIGHT KID was slow to begin.
JAZZ STEED stumbled on jumping.
SPONTANEOUS shifted out at the start, resulting in MAKE IT QUICK being taken out onto VALIANT FORTUNE which in turn bumped NOBLE BOYZ.
Then from wide barriers, MAKE IT QUICK, VALIANT FORTUNE and NOBLE BOYZ were all shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, SPONTANEOUS got its head up and shifted in away from MEGA BONUS as SPONTANEOUS was being crossed by MEGA BONUS which was clear of that horse at this time.
After this, SPONTANEOUS was left racing very wide and was steadied after the 1000 Metres to obtain cover behind UNIVERSAL GO GO.
Passing the 1100 Metres, MAKE IT QUICK went amiss, resulting in its rider, H T Mo, being dislodged.
When MAKE IT QUICK went amiss, VALIANT FORTUNE was shifted out abruptly, resulting in NOBLE BOYZ being hampered and taken wider.
BRIGHT KID, which was following MAKE IT QUICK, was also badly hampered in this incident.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MAKE IT QUICK had sustained an injury to the right front leg.
After the 800 Metres, VALIANT FORTUNE got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed behind TRIPLE TRIPLE which itself was racing close to the heels of WIND SPEEDER which approaching the 700 Metres shifted out when racing close to the heels of REGENCY STAR.
Making the turn passing the 600 Metres, SPONTANEOUS lay in and crowded the room of VALIANT FORTUNE.
REGENCY STAR, CIRCUIT BOOMING and MEGA BONUS were sent for sampling.
Samples were also taken from MAKE IT QUICK.

Circuit Booming got up in the final few strides to overhaul long-time leader Mega Bonus for a maiden win at his third start following back-to-back fourths and there's likely more improvement to come from him. Mega Bonus kept on gamely cornering a length on top after having to work to lead from gate 12. He's racing well after a win two runs back. Wind Speeder ran on nicely after a handy run on the fence to fill a placing without menacing the top two. It was another good run down in grade carrying top weight after turning the corner to fill the frame in two prior Valley runs. Jazz Steed kept on one-paced to fill the frame after a prominent run. He rarely produces a bad run sprinting over this course. Favourite Regency Star had every chance after a box-seat run. He does appear from his past three starts to be on or near his mark following a win. Triple Triple made some ground without menacing after a rails run behind midfield. It was a better run with a return to Class Four but the big weight didn't help. Universal Go Go ran on without threatening after travelling outside Triple Triple in the run. He requires a stronger pace. Make It Quick went amiss and dumped his rider shortly after the start.
