Early favourite Party Warrior responded nicely to take control 150m out after getting a lovely run one off with cover in midfield. He relished a return to the course of four earlier placings from five starts. Here Comes Ted dashed strongly down the outside from the rear of the field to finish a close second. He's a winning waiting to happen if he remains in the grade. Firming to jump equal favourite A Smile Like Yours found a couple too good chasing the speed near the inside. He's racing well but the ratings appear to be catching up following a win last start. Noble Desire weakened to finish fourth after working to the lead 300m out rolling forward three deep to park outside the leader Ares 700m out. He's naturally return to form in his three starts this term. Chiron held his ground after getting posted two-to-three deep without cover at times in a handy spot. He's still lightly raced but heading in the right direction. Happy Good Guys stayed on without menacing after a wide with cover run worse than midfield from a wide draw. He's one to keep safe sprinting over this course from a better gate. Good Shot was gone 200m out after working forward very deep to briefly poke his head in front 400m out from a the widest draw.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (182) - KYOTO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

HYPERION TREE shifted in at the start and bumped PARTY WARRIOR which then shifted in and crowded the room of RED BRICK FIGHTER.

ARES shifted out at the start, resulting in HERE COMES TED becoming badly unbalanced and losing ground when crowded for room inside NOBLE DESIRE.

After this, HERE COMES TED was shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier.

Shortly after the start, NOBLE DESIRE and HAPPY GOOD GUYS brushed.

In the early stages, HAPPY GOOD GUYS was steadied from a wide barrier to obtain cover.

Near the 950 Metres, HYPERION TREE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of RED BRICK FIGHTER.

After travelling wide and without cover in the early stages, GOOD SHOT was then able to obtain cover passing the 900 Metres but was again left racing wide and without cover near the 650 Metres.

GOOD SHOT was then ridden along to obtain a more forward position, however, continued to race wide and without cover outside the lead after the 600 Metres.

At the entrance to the Straight, A SMILE LIKE YOURS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOBLE DESIRE.

Passing the 300 Metres, NOBLE DESIRE and GOOD SHOT raced tight.

Passing the 50 Metres, AMAZING NEWS raced tight between HAPPY GOOD GUYS and RED BRICK FIGHTER which shifted out.

A veterinary inspection of ARES, HYPERION TREE and MOON PEAKS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A SMILE LIKE YOURS, PARTY WARRIOR and HERE COMES TED were sent for sampling.
