Second favourite Romantic Warrior took control 150m out to win with something in hand despite a wide without cover run on the speed from gate 12. It was a huge effort on debut and there's clearly more upside to come from him. Well-backed A Smile Like Yours kept on gamely for second after rolling forward three deep to eventually park outside the leader one off 750m out. It was a fine effort following a last-start win and there's likely another win in him. Favourite Great Harvest found a couple too smart after quickly finding the front from gate five. It was another honest effort. Prance Dragon dived late to snatch fourth on the wire after peeling into the open 200m out following a rails run behind midfield. He's naturally coming to hand in his two starts this term. Treasure Of Field just missed out on a quartet spot after chasing the speed on the fence. It was a better run second-up this term from a better draw. Universal Go Go ran on without menacing after settling two deep worse than midfield from an awkward gate. He does appear from his past few runs to be on his mark. Destin made ground late without ever looking a threat settling third last after a slow start. The pattern of the race went against him.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (107) - TIGER PRAWN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

DESTIN was slow to begin.

PRANCE DRAGON was crowded for room on jumping between TREASURE OF FIELD and SPLIT OF A SECOND which shifted out.

SIMPLE DOCTRINE began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly, resulting in CHIKORITA being checked when crowded for room inside UNIVERSAL GO GO.

From a wide barrier, A A AGILITY was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, SPLIT OF A SECOND shifted out marginally towards the heels of TREASURE OF FIELD, resulting in SPLIT OF A SECOND becoming unbalanced.

After the 900 Metres, SIMPLE DOCTRINE commenced to race ungenerously and shifted in across the heels of UNIVERSAL GO GO, resulting in DESTIN being inconvenienced approaching the 800 Metres.

A SMILE LIKE YOURS travelled wide and without cover until near the 700 Metres at which stage ROMANTIC WARRIOR was left racing wide and without cover.

CHIKORITA commenced to travel keenly and became unbalanced near the 700 Metres.

Passing the 200 Metres, PRANCE DRAGON was shifted out away from the heels of CHIKORITA to obtain clear running.

Then near the 100 Metres, PRANCE DRAGON got its head on the side and shifted out, resulting in its rider having to correct his mount.

After the race, A Badel reported that GREAT HARVEST coughed when exiting the track.

GREAT HARVEST was noted to have coughed several times in the sampling stalls.

An endoscopic examination of GREAT HARVEST showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, GREAT HARVEST will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of HAPPY GOOD GUYS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GREAT HARVEST, ROMANTIC WARRIOR and A SMILE LIKE YOURS were sent for sampling.
