Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Courier Wonder was popped the question 300m out following a oneoff run in third, surged to the front 150m out and kept on gamely for the win. The threeyear- old has done everything right in his five races and was well weighted to win the race. Stronger ran on nicely down the outside to finish a close second after settling third last from a wide draw. He ran very well despite spotting the winner 12 pounds. Sky Field closed nicely to fill a placing after settling four back on the fence. It was another honest performance. Duke Wai stayed on reasonably well to fill the frame after a one off run better than midfield. It was a positive performance up in grade carrying a lighter weight. Computer Patch faded in the run to the wire after leading for the most part one off the fence outside Voyage Warrior. He's at his best when left alone and did carry top weight. Rattan came up flat over the final 150m after a prominent run on the fence. He was only having his second start following a tibia injury in January.
