Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (525) - LUGER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
MEANINGFUL STAR was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, LIKE THAT was bumped by FIGHTING STAR which was bumped by NAMJONG SINGS.
PASSING FASHION and HARDLY SWEARS were crowded for room on jumping between TRILLION WIN and SIMPLY SPECTACULAR, both of which shifted ground.
In this incident, PASSING FASHION made heavy contact with TRILLION WIN which became unbalanced.
This resulted in PASSING FASHION and HARDLY SWEARS losing ground and SIMPLY SPECTACULAR being unable to muster speed.
After the 800 Metres, MARVEL DRAGON was left racing wide and without cover.
LIKE THAT was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and near the 350 Metres bumped KAI XIN DRAGON when being shifted out to improve between that horse and TRILLION WIN.
Passing the 100 Metres, SUPER DOBBIN was awkwardly placed outside the heels of MARVEL DRAGON which shifted out marginally.
Close to the finishing line, TRILLION WIN raced tight inside LIKE THAT.
A veterinary inspection of KAI XIN DRAGON, NAMJONG SINGS and SIMPLY SPECTACULAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FANTASTIC WAY and THE RUNNER were sent for sampling.

Odds-on favourite Fantastic Way kept on gamely after clearing to the lead 900m out from a wide gate to remain unbeaten in three starts. He's clearly heading places. Specked at long odds, The Runner stuck on well to finish a clear second after settling one-out, one-back. He did produce a positive run in his only previous try over this course and distance. Like That kept plugging away one-paced over the final 100m to just hold a placing after a rail run in midfield. It was a good effort following a last-start win over the straight 1,000m in Class Four. Marvel Dragon ran on steadily to nearly place after wide without cover run fore of midfield from a tricky gate. It was a good effort off a 140-day break. Plunged late, Trillion Win grudgingly gave way over the last 100m after going forward to park outside the leader at the 800m from a wide draw. Namjong Sings failed to fire following a box-seat run. He needed the run following a 79-day rest.
