Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (467) - PAT SIN LENG HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
LET'S DO IT began very awkwardly, shifted in on jumping and bumped EXCEED THE STARS which was taken in onto KEEP YOU WARM, causing EXCEED THE STARS to be hampered and LET'S DO IT to lose ground.
DUBLIN STAR shifted in on jumping and inconvenienced LOYAL BABY.
From the outside barriers, ROYAL AGILITY and PASSING FASHION were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
GREEN REIGN was also steadied to obtain cover shortly after the start.
Near the 950 Metres, DUBLIN STAR was awkwardly placed outside the heels of LOYAL BABY which shifted out away from the heels of WINE AND WINE.
Passing the 800 Metres, KAI XIN DRAGON, which was travelling keenly, got its head up on a number of occasions.
Passing the 400 Metres, MIGHTY VALOR and WAR OF COURAGE bumped.
In the early part of the Straight, LOYAL BABY had difficulty obtaining clear running and passing the 300 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINE AND WINE.
Approaching the 350 Metres, GREEN REIGN was shifted in away from the heels of LOYAL BABY and EXCEED THE STARS to continue improving.
Passing the 300 Metres, KEEP YOU WARM improved into tight running between MIGHTY VALOR and WAR OF COURAGE.
Near the 150 Metres, GREEN REIGN improved into tight running inside MIGHTY VALOR which was giving ground.
Throughout the race, BIG FORTUNE travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of MIGHTY VALOR immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.
As this was the second consecutive occasion that MIGHTY VALOR had been found to be lame in the right front leg, the Stewards ruled that prior to being permitted to race again, that horse will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
FANTASTIC WAY and DUBLIN STAR were sent for sampling.

Firming to start odds-on, Fantastic Way was too smart despite a wide with cover run fore of midfield following a sluggish start from a wide gate to remain unbeaten in two starts. He clearly has more points in hand. Dublin Star ran on well from behind midfield to just deny Keep You Warm for second. He's racing very well this season. Keep You Warm kept on well for a placing after getting held up early straight following a box-seat run. It was another honest effort. Kai Xin Dragon ran on well after a deep run with cover behind the eventual winner. He's flashed potential to earn minor cheques in three of his four starts and can bob up at any moment. War Of Courage grudgingly gave way after stalking the leader Mighty Valor from a middle draw. He might be more effective ridden quieter in the run. Let's Do It ran on well down the outside from near last to nearly pick up a pay cheque. It was a vastly-improved effort at just his second local run.
