Recap by phillip woo
The Rock kept up a strong gallop after pressing forward to lead 1,200m out for a second victory this season. He had been knocking on the door with seconds in two of his past three runs. Outsider Conqueror stayed on well to grab second after a box-seat run. It was an improved effort second-up with a switch to the turf. Arthur's Kingdom came from near last to make it close for second. It was a much-improved effort on his opening two runs. Alpha Hedge kept on one-paced after settling second along the fence. He'll be one to follow with a return to Class Three at the Valley. Sea Of Life had his chance following a one-out, one-back run. The rise in class and distance went against him. Preciousship ran on without menacing from towards the rear. The moderate pace went against him. Lakeshore Eagle couldn't make an impression from the back. Circuit Three had nothing left in the tank soon after straightening following a wide run without cover in midfield.
