Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Golden Sixty coasted home with his ears pricked after reeling in the leaders 200m out following a patient ride towards the rear in a seven-horse field. He's now upped his record to 13 wins from 14 starts and will be hard to beat on International Day in 21 days. Ka Ying Star did everything right but was no match for the winner after a well-rated run in front. He's racing well but isn't good enough at set weights against the winner. Southern Legend just failed to get second after pressing the pace. It was another honest effort in defeat giving the field five pounds. Mighty Giant had his chance but just wasn't good enough chasing the speed one off the fence in third. It wasn't a bad run. Champions Way was never involved after a deep run towards the rear. He's not good enough at level weights. Harmony Victory was a non-factor after his usual slow start. He is better over 1,800m. Simply Brilliant struggled at the back.
