Racing Incident Report
Race One: (111) - TIN SAM HANDICAP - Class 5 - 2000Meters
JOY N FUN LEGEND began awkwardly and lost ground.
FORTUNE PATROL was crowded for room on jumping between YOU HAVE MY WORD and ENJOYABLE SUCCESS which shifted in.
ENJOYABLE SUCCESS then became unbalanced and shifted out towards the heels of STRAPPING BAUHINIA.
After making contact with STRAPPING BAUHINIA, ENJOYABLE SUCCESS shifted in, resulting in FORTUNE PATROL being further crowded for room.
After the 1700 Metres, AMAZING AGILITY was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 350 Metres, JOY N FUN LEGEND got its head on the side and lay out.
JOY N FUN LEGEND was then momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of HOME WIN passing the 250 Metres.
H T Mo (JOY N FUN LEGEND) dropped his left rein passing the 50 Metres which he had difficulty regathering over the concluding stages.
After the race, H T Mo reported that the bit pulled through the horse's mouth approaching and rounding the Home Turn.
B Shinn (HOME WIN) was warned against using the whip on a horse which is out of contention.
After the race, B Shinn was not able to offer any explanation for the performance of HOME WIN which weakened in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of HOME WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, C Y Ho reported that STRAPPING BAUHINIA was able to enjoy a good run and after having to commence riding his mount along prior to the 600 Metres STRAPPING BAUHINIA stayed on satisfactorily in the early part of the Straight.
He said however that over the latter stages the horse gave ground and was disappointing.
A veterinary inspection of STRAPPING BAUHINIA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
AMAZING AGILITY and SKY GEM were sent for sampling.

Old-timer Amazing Agility kept finding to take control passing the 100m after a wide without cover run behind midfield for a fourth career win. He relished a step up to the distance of a win in January. Favourite Sky Gem found one too good after working to the lead 250m out following a prominent run with cover from a wide gate. He's racing well without winning. Fortune Patrol came from near last to just edge You Have My Word for third. He's naturally coming to hand in his three starts this term. Well-backed late You Have My Word ran on reasonably well down the outside after making his run deep towards the rear. It wasn't a bad run following a win earlier this month over the 1,800m. Proud Sky ran on steadily following a midfield run. He hasn't been too far off the finish in his three runs this term. Home Win was stopping 100m out after getting an easy time in front. He's not genuine. Hay Run only plodded following a dream run in the box-seat.
