Recap by phillip woo

Second favourite Armor Star cornered two lengths on top after a well-rated run in front for a second win from five starts. He's still a progressive sort but will find things richer in Class Three next time out. Ultimate Glory never looked like catching the winner but did win a tussle with Hang's Decision for second following a handy run. It was another honest effort by the 10-year-old. Hang's Decision stayed on well after a prominent run on the fence. He was fitter for a positive run on opening day. Favourite Sumstreetsumwhere ran on steadily along the inside to finish a non-threatening fourth following a midfield run. He's racing well but might be on or near his mark. Casimiro ran on reasonably well to just miss out on a Quartet spot after a wide with cover run in midfield. Super Fast made some ground late after making his run five back and three deep with cover. It was his best run to date after arriving off a mark of 70.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (43) - SHEK WAI KOK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

DAILY CHARM and WIN FOR YOUTH were slow to begin.

From wide barriers, SAM'S LOVE and NATURAL WINNER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

SUMSTREETSUMWHERE, PARTY GENIUS and SUPER FAST were all crowded for room on jumping between VIVA CHEF which shifted out and NUREMBERG which got its head on the side and shifted in.

When being shifted across behind runners in the early stages, WIN FOR YOUTH got its head up and raced ungenerously.

WIN FOR YOUTH then continued to race ungenerously for some distance.

After the 1100 Metres, LEADING FORTUNE commenced to travel keenly and shifted out away from the heels of ULTIMATE GLORY.

SUMSTREETSUMWHERE, which was following LEADING FORTUNE, became awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse in consequence and got its head on the side and lay in, resulting in DAILY CHARM being momentarily crowded for room.

Passing the 700 Metres, NUREMBERG shifted in when awkwardly placed behind SAM'S LOVE and bumped WIN FOR YOUTH, causing both horses to become unbalanced.

Passing the 100 Metres, LEADING FORTUNE was shifted in away from the heels of PARTY GENIUS.

Near the 50 Metres, VIVA CHEF was directed out away from the heels of DAILY CHARM which shifted out.

Throughout the race, PARTY GENIUS travelled wide and without cover.

B Shinn, the rider of the 4th placed, SUMSTREETSUMWHERE, was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out all the way to the end of the race wherever appropriate circumstances exist.

After the race, it was reported that ULTIMATE GLORY had sustained a contusion above the left hock and that VIVA CHEF had sustained a small abrasion to the right hind coronet.

A veterinary inspection of LEADING FORTUNE, PARTY GENIUS and WIN FOR YOUTH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SUMSTREETSUMWHERE, ARMOR STAR and ULTIMATE GLORY were sent for sampling.
