Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (806) - BREEZY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
SEVEN HEAVENS was crowded for room on jumping between WON BALL and JUST NOT LISTENING, both of which shifted ground.
This resulted in SEVEN HEAVENS losing ground and WON BALL and JUST NOT LISTENING becoming unbalanced.
After this, from wide barriers, WON BALL and SEVEN HEAVENS were steadied and shifted across behind runners.
In the early stages, VICTORY POWER was steadied to obtain cover.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, TOM'S STYLE raced tight inside TELECOM PUMA which got its head on the side and lay in.
MASTER ALBERT lay out making the turn after the 1000 Metres, resulting in SUNSET WATCH being inconvenienced.
Throughout the race, JUST NOT LISTENING travelled wide and without cover and making the turn after the 500 Metres got its head on the side and lay out.
JUST NOT LISTENING continued to lay out rounding the Home Turn and after the 300 Metres shifted out abruptly away from VICTORY POWER which was shifted out to obtain a run.
VICTORY POWER then continued to shift to the outside of SUNSET WATCH approaching the 200 Metres to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA GUNGHO, MASTER ALBERT and TOM'S STYLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BEAUTY SPARK, WIND N GRASS and LITTLE BIRD were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Wind N Grass mowed down Little Bird 20m out for the win after getting a perfectly executed run riding the rail in midfield. He relished a return to the Valley 1,200m. Little Bird found one too good after reclaiming the lead from California Gungho 250m out. He's a winner waiting to happen in this grade. Victory Power finished well to place after making his run second from the rear. He's had a terrific campaign under the guidance of rookie trainer Douglas Whyte. Beauty Spark had his chance following a prominent run on the fence. He tends to mix his form. Seven Heavens closed well one from the right from the rear of the field after missing the kick. He's not easy to get right but has the tools to win in this grade. Master Albert came up flat following a one-out, one-back run. California Gungho was coming back to the field over the final 150m after rushing forward to lead from a wide gate. The faster going went against him.
