Favourite Casimiro got in the final few metres for the win after settling three-deep with cover in midfield. He's really improved since joining the Paul O'Sullivan stable and can win another. Juneau Park was just denied after hitting the front 350m out chasing the speed one off from a wide gate. Plunged late Circuit Hassler gradually faded after finding the front 850m out from a wide gate. He's well rated off his current mark. Treasure Chest kept on gamely for fourth at huge odds after settling in the box-seat following a quick start. Roman Impero kept on all right after rolling forward after jumping sluggish from a wide gate to stalking the leader 800m out. King Dragon wasn't beaten too far in the end after striding forward from near the back to sit four-deep without cover better than midfield at the 800m. Dragon Pride gradually faded travelling better than midfield. He wasn't able to cope with a 400m rise in distance at only his second start.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (440) - SUN CHUI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

Just prior to the start being effected, ROMAN IMPERO became fractious and lifted its front feet off the ground as the gates opened and consequently began only fairly.

ROMAN IMPERO was then taken out on jumping by TREASURE CHEST which shifted out, resulting in KING DRAGON, which also began only fairly, being bumped and losing ground.

After this, ROMAN IMPERO was ridden along to obtain a forward position and subsequently travelled wide and without cover throughout the race.

Shortly after the start, ARDENODE shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of WONDER EXPRESS.

After travelling a short distance, WONDER EXPRESS was steadied to obtain cover when racing wide.

After the 1200 Metres, DRAGON BOLT commenced to prove very difficult to settle and for a considerable distance after the 1100 Metres was checked away from the heels of CASIMIRO.

Making the turn after the 900 Metres, TREASURE CHEST raced tight inside CIRCUIT HASSLER.

Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, V CHEVALIERS was shifted out a number of horses to obtain clear running and then after the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of WONDER EXPRESS after being disappointed for running between that horse and ARDENODE.

For the majority of the race, KING DRAGON travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of DRAGON BOLT and THE ONE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CASIMIRO and JUNEAU PARK were sent for sampling.
