Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (207) - ELGIN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
The Veterinary Officer reported that HIGHLY PROACTIVE was found to have a number of small lacerations to the left side of the nose after being transported into Happy Valley.
An examination of HIGHLY PROACTIVE found that horse to be suitable to race.
On arrival at the Start, the Veterinary Officer reported that HIGHLY PROACTIVE had blood at the mouth, however, was suitable to race.
Also on arrival at the Start, A Sanna expressed concern regarding the action of AMBITIOUS HEART.
An examination of AMBITIOUS HEART by the Veterinary Officer found that horse to be suitable to race.
A veterinary inspection of AMBITIOUS HEART immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HIGHLY PROACTIVE, which was difficult to load, will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test before being allowed to race again.
DIVINE UNICORN shifted out at the start and bumped HAPPY WARRIOR.
AMBITIOUS HEART began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room on jumping between HAPPY WARRIOR and THE RUNNER which shifted in.
From wide barriers, E MASTER and FAIRY TWINS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, HAPPY WARRIOR was bumped by DIVINE UNICORN which shifted in momentarily.
Passing the 200 Metres, HIGHLY PROACTIVE shifted in abruptly, requiring its rider to stop riding and straighten his mount.
Throughout the race, THE RUNNER travelled wide and without cover.
MERIDIAN GENIUS and HIGHLY PROACTIVE were sent for sampling.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 23 November 2019 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of FANTASY, POWER KING, MR MAGELLAN, ADONIS, WINWIN THIRTYTHREE, LUCKY MORE, TRUST ME, LITTLE GENERAL, VILLA FIONN, JOY MASTER, ELITE PATCH, FANTASTIC FEELING, SIMPLE ELEGANT, GOLDEN FOUR, FAST MOST FURIOUS, HARMONY VICTORY, UTOPIA LIFE, AQUILA, MEGA HEART, PACKING WARRIOR, PRECIOUSSHIP, BAND OF BROTHERS, GOLDEN SIXTY and LUCKY HERO revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of SIMPLY SPECTACULAR, LUCKY GUY, ABOVE, C P POWER, SHINING GEM, BIG FORTUNE, FUN TIMES, ULTIMATE GLORY, SUNSHINE UNIVERSE, GIFT OF LIFELINE, STAR OF YUEN LONG, BEAUTY GENERATION, WAIKUKU, KA YING STAR, EXULTANT, FURORE, AETHERO, HOT KING PRAWN, BIG PARTY, MR CROISSANT, WATER DIVINER, TIANCHI MONSTER, NICCONI EXPRESS and CHEFANO (17.11.19) proved negative.

Firming late in betting, Meridian Genius got up 50m out for the win after straightening one off better than midfield to ring up a second win from his past three starts and first over the Valley track. He has the tools to head higher. Reluctant to load, favourite Highly Proactive found one too good after reclaiming the lead 200m out from Super Wise. He's still green but has made a sound impression in both starts and will be winning shortly. Starlight came on well from midfield to fill a placing. He never produces a bad run over this Valley trip. Happy Warrior closed well after a patient ride fourth from the back. It was a good effort in defeat following a last-start win in a lesser grade. Planet Star ran on steadily without menacing following a one-off run worse than midfield. It was another honest effort. Divine Unicorn made some ground late after making his run third from the rear. He's crying out for a longer trip. Punted late Kasi Farasi disappointed.
