Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Elusive State quickened nicely to win going away near the 100m following a midfield run for a fifth win from eight starts since joining the Tony Millard camp. He's very smart on this surface. Buddies kept on gamely for second after clearing to the front 1,350m out and getting away with slow fractions. It was a solid effort despite stepping up in class. Turin Redstar made it close for second after a box-seat run. He's as honest as the day is long on either surface. Raging Blitzkrieg gradually faded after stalking the speed. He rarely produces a bad run but is likely on or near his mark. Morethanlucky made some ground without menacing from near the back. He's trying to find his mark. Punted late Glorious Artist made only a mild impression near the outside after travelling one from the back. He came up flat in his first start since an outing in Korea in September.
