Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (804) - SILVER GRECIAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to TELECOM PUMA was replaced.
HAPPY TIME was slow to begin.
STRATHALLAN shifted in abruptly at the start and hampered MOST BEAUTIFUL.
After this, MOST BEAUTIFUL was shifted across behind runners and after the 900 Metres commenced to travel keenly and near the 700 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
BREEDERS' STAR was crowded for room on jumping between FAIRY TWINS and MAGIC LEGEND, both of which shifted ground.
From a wide barrier, E MASTER was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After travelling a short distance, TELECOM PUMA, when being ridden along, commenced to buck, resulting in the horse being retired out of the race after the 1100 Metres.
Before being allowed to race again, TELECOM PUMA will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, HAPPY TIME proved difficult to settle and became unbalanced after getting its head up on a number of occasions.
Near the 850 Metres, SPACE became unbalanced of its own accord when travelling keenly in the lead.
Making the turn near the 550 Metres, MR PICASSO was awkwardly placed behind WONDERFUL JOURNEY.
Passing the 50 Metres, WONDERFUL JOURNEY was momentarily shifted out away from the heels of STRATHALLAN.
Over the concluding stages, STRATHALLAN raced tight outside FRUSTRATED which shifted out under pressure.
FRUSTRATED lost its right front plate after the race.
When questioned, V Borges stated that he was instructed to ensure that WONDERFUL JOURNEY was able to make its run to the outside of horses in the Straight if possible.
He said for this reason he elected, after the 800 Metres, not to hold his position inside STRATHALLAN, rather he allowed that horse to shift in in front of WONDERFUL JOURNEY so that he would be able to shift to the outside of STRATHALLAN which he did making the turn after the 600 Metres.
He said he was then able to continue to shift WONDERFUL JOURNEY to the outside of runners in the Straight in compliance with his instructions.
A veterinary inspection of MOST BEAUTIFUL and SPACE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of FAIRY TWINS immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
MAGIC LEGEND and E MASTER were sent for sampling.

Favourite Magic Legend won with something in hand after taking over near the 200m following a beautifully-executed ride one off in third. The win was overdue after threatening to score in four other starts over this course. E Master came on nicely after travelling second last on the fence to grab the runner-up spot 50m out. He rarely produces a bad run over this Valley trip. Frustrated stuck on gamely for a placing after facing the breeze outside the leader Space from an awkward gate. He's had a productive first campaign and there's likely more upside to come from the three-year-old. Breeders' Star produced a steady bid late after saving ground behind midfield. He's not easy to get right but can bob up at any moment off his current mark over this trip. Fairy Twins had every chance following a prominent run on the fence but found nothing when asked for an effort. He's not genuine. Telecom Puma was pulled up 950m out after a bucking display.
