Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Precious Sweetie quickened nicely to going away near the 150m following a well-executed ride better than midfield on the fence for a second win this campaign. He's found his niche following a switch to the Valley. Gunnar was no match for the winner after hitting the front 200m out following a box-seat run. He's a winner waiting to happen. Oriental Elite closed well from behind midfield to finish a clear-cut third. He's sprinting honestly over this course. Master Roman finished well near the inside after a patient ride second from the rear to add some value to the Quartet. It was a vastlyimproved effort on his past two starts with a switch to the Valley. Everyone's Elite closed well down the middle after a patient ride third from the back. Like the latter, it was a much better performance in his first Valley start. The Abraxas kept plugging away without menacing following a prominent run. He's showing a bit more spark in his past two starts.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (780) - SHAM CHUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

MASTER ROMAN began only fairly.

As the start was effected, SIMPLY FLUKE lifted its front feet off the ground.

MCMUNIGAL was crowded for room on jumping between ISLAND WINNER and THE ABRAXAS, both of which shifted ground.

In this incident, THE ABRAXAS became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by MCMUNIGAL.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, GOLDEN GLORY failed to muster speed and then throughout the race travelled wide and without cover.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, PRECIOUS SWEETIE became badly unbalanced after shifting in towards the running rail when racing in restricted room inside the hindquarters of THE ABRAXAS which lay in.

ORIENTAL ELITE lost its left hind plate after the race.

A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN GLORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

PRECIOUS SWEETIE and GUNNAR were sent for sampling.
