Raging favourite Voyage Warrior won geared down with plenty in hand after reclaiming the lead from Look Eras 350m out carrying top weight. He's won three of four starts and is clearly destined for better things. Healthy Luck stayed on nicely chasing the leaders near the stands side to finish a clear-cut second. He likes this trip and the addition of blinkers had a positive effect. Specked late Goko kept grinding away travelling better than midfield on the stands side to overhaul Look Eras for a placing. Look Eras kept on all right after rushing to the front 800m out. He's finding it hard in this grade but his terrific gate speed is always an asset. Hard Promise held his ground following a prominent run. The 1,000m is too sharp and he requires a bit more relief in the handicaps. Hair Trigger made some ground without ever looking a chance travelling third from the rear after getting crowded at the jump.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (757) - MA ON SHAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters

STAR OF THEHARBOUR shifted in at the start and bumped LOOK ERAS.

HAPPY TIME, which was fractious in the barriers, began very awkwardly and lost ground.

HAIR TRIGGER was crowded for room at the start between BETHANY and VOYAGE WARRIOR which shifted out.

Passing the 400 Metres, HONG KONG BET got its head on the side and shifted in abruptly.

G van Niekerk, the rider of HAPPY TIME, was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out all the way to the end of the race where appropriate circumstances exist.

After the race, M L Yeung stated that after placing HARD PROMISE under pressure prior to the 400 Metres, his saddle shifted back soon after which placed him at a disadvantage.

Also after the race, M Harley expressed concern regarding the action of ARDENODE.

A veterinary inspection of ARDENODE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

VOYAGE WARRIOR and HEALTHY LUCK were sent for sampling.
