Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (664) - THE FRANCE GALOP CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Meters
MEGA HEART was slow to begin and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners.
Also from wide barriers, BETTER CHOICE and SUPREME PATROL were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, JING JING WIN (J Moreira) failed to muster speed and shortly after the start was shifted across behind runners.
After the race, J Moreira was not able to offer any explanation for the horse's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection of JING JING WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After travelling a short distance, PRIVATE ROCKET was awkwardly placed outside the heels of HARRIER JET which shifted out.
SPEEDY LUCK travelled wide and without cover until passing the 700 Metres.
After the 500 Metres, SPLIT OF A SECOND was taken wider by HARRIER JET which improved into tight running between SPLIT OF A SECOND and GINTOKI.
After this, SPLIT OF A SECOND and HARRIER JET raced tight.
Passing the 100 Metres, E MASTER raced tight outside PRIVATE ROCKET which shifted out marginally.
BETTER CHOICE lost its left front plate after the race.
After the race, C Schofield stated that after being able to obtain a good position in midfield on E MASTER, the horse did not travel as well as he anticipated it would and then in the Straight finished off the race only fairly.
A veterinary inspection of E MASTER immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, E MASTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HARRIER JET, RACING FIGHTER and BUOYANT BOY were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Racing Fighter was ridden aggressively to track the leader one off, hit the front 250m out and kept on gamely for another win this term following a switch to the Valley here. Buoyant Boy finished well from behind midfield to finish a clear-cut second. He's not reliable but certainly capable of big runs. Late-fancied favourite Harrier Jet had his chance following a box-seat run. It was another honest effort and he can get away with a race soon. Split Of A Second kept on one-paced over the last 150m after being pushed three wide coming to the final bend following a one-out one-back run. Newcomer Private Rocket kept on all right following a midfield run on the fence. There's likely improvement to come from the three-year-old. Better Choice was getting going late after switching off from a wide gate. It wasn't a bad effort on a track with a bias for those travelling on or closer to the speed. E Master came up flat following a midfield run.
