Recap by phillip woo
Massive Move had enough in the tank to hold off Whistle Up after hitting the front 200m out sitting prominent in the centre of the course. He did put the writing on the wall two back over this trip and was well rated off a pair of wins last term. Whistle Up came on nicely near the far side after badly bombing the start to make it close on the wire. It was a terrific effort first run back following a leg issue in November. Post-time favourite District Express stuck on all right up on the speed for third. He's a winner waiting to happen at this level but is better suited over a longer trip. Early favourite Paddington kept grinding away following a handy run to just hold down fourth. He can bob up now and then but is risky at short odds. Happy Sound made some ground after settling worse than midfield. He's capable but is not genuine. Ruminare led and was on his tippy toes 100m out. He's better suited over the 1,200m.
