Cruising settled second behind the leader Little Bird, reclaimed the front approaching the 200m and drew clear to live up to a solid debut last month. The three-year-old is open to more improvement and can hold his own off a light weight up in grade. Mr Wealth came home a clear-cut second following a handy run. He's shown ability in two of four starts and will be winning shortly. Little Bird grudgingly gave way after leading from a wide gate. It was a decent effort up in grade but found a couple better on this occasion. In a blanket finish for fourth, newcomer Vigor Fame got the bob down following a very deep run without cover in midfield. On his French form, he'll only get better when stepping up in distance. All Best Friends ran on steadily near the inside following a rail run fore of midfield. He's on his mark following a win three back on the dirt. Well-punted late Best Step stayed on all right following a prominent run without cover from a wide gate.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (767) - THE GUANGDONG-HONG KONG CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Meters

On arrival at the Start, it was noted that WINNER DON'T MISS had its right front plate refitted.

WINNER DON'T MISS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

CALIFORNIA GUNGHO shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of LEAN AMBASSADOR.

A short distance after this, CALIFORNIA GUNGHO shifted in when unbalanced, resulting in MR WEALTH and BLAZING PARTNERS being inconvenienced.

MY POWER began very awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in WINNER DON'T MISS being crowded for room inside HAPPY HOUR which was taken in by LITTLE BIRD.

A short distance after the start, WINNER DON'T MISS and MY POWER were both crowded for room between HAPPY HOUR which continued to shift in and LEAN AMBASSADOR which shifted out.

From the outside barrier, GOOD BEAUTY was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Near the 750 Metres, ALL BEST FRIENDS was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MR WEALTH which got its head on the side and shifted in away from BEST STEP.

MY POWER, which was following ALL BEST FRIENDS, shifted out away from the heels of that horse in consequence, resulting in BLAZING PARTNERS and CALIFORNIA GUNGHO being crowded for room inside VIGOR FAME.

Then near the 700 Metres, MY POWER, which continued to be awkwardly placed outside the heels of ALL BEST FRIENDS, was checked when unable to improve between that horse and BLAZING PARTNERS which continued to race tight inside CALIFORNIA GUNGHO which was awkwardly placed inside VIGOR FAME.

Rounding the Home Turn, PACKING MIRACLE and VIGOR FAME bumped.

For the majority of the race, VIGOR FAME travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of PACKING MIRACLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

LITTLE BIRD, CRUISING and MR WEALTH were sent for sampling.
