Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (600) - THE KOREA RACING AUTHORITY TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1000Meters
I AM POWER was withdrawn on 23.4.18 by order of the Stewards (stable transfer).
The Veterinary Officer reported that on arrival at the Start, DRAGON GENERAL was found to be lame in its left front leg.
Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of DRAGON GENERAL.
Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON GENERAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
EVERBRAVE lost its left front plate leaving the barriers.
On jumping, BEAUTY TIME was steadied to obtain cover.
From the outside barrier, HAPPY COOPERATION began awkwardly and then after being ridden along for a short distance after the start was steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Near the 950 Metres, AFTER ME was momentarily steadied away from the heels of VERY RICH MAN after racing tight outside MONEY BOY which shifted out.
At the 600 Metres, MONEY BOY was steadied away from the heels of VERY RICH MAN (A Sanna) which shifted in when not quite clear.
A Sanna was advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
When MONEY BOY was steadied away from the heels of VERY RICH MAN, EVERBRAVE, which was following, was awkwardly placed behind that horse for some distance.
EVERBRAVE, which was travelling strongly, then continued to race very close to the heels of MONEY BOY until straightening.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, VERY RICH MAN shifted out and bumped FORTUNE BO BO.
Passing the 400 Metres, BREEDERS' STAR was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of DRAGON PIONEER when being shifted to the outside of that horse to obtain clear running.
Near the 150 Metres, DRAGON PIONEER shifted out under pressure when awkwardly placed inside the heels of BREEDERS' STAR, resulting in its rider, M L Yeung, having to stop riding and straighten DRAGON PIONEER., Just prior to the finishing line, BREEDERS' STAR shifted in and bumped DRAGON PIONEER.
For the majority of the race, DRAGON PIONEER travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that BEAUTY TIME had an abnormally elevated heart rate.
Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY TIME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MONEY BOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of VERY RICH MAN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
FORTUNE BO BO and EVERBRAVE were sent for sampling.

Post-time favourite Fortune Bo Bo kept on gamely after claiming the front approaching the 200m from Very Rich Man following a pace-stalking run for a second win this term. Everbrave closed well travelling midfield on the fence to grab second in a blanket finish for the minors. It was his best run to date with a switch to the Valley but it wasn't a strong contest. Dances With Dragon closed nicely down the outside after travelling third from the rear to make it close for second. He's flashed potential in two of his five starts. Breeders' Star just failed by a stride to place after sitting outside Everbrave in the run. He's better over the 1,200m. Dragon Pioneer stayed on all right after covering ground throughout in fifth. He's improved in his past five following a move to blinkers and can pop up at any time. Newcomer After Me wasn't too far away in the finish following a prominent run. He needed the run and looks a decent sort going forward.
