Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Eighty Eighty just scraped home for the win after getting softened for the lead at the 600m by Royal Prerogative to notch a second win from five starts. It was a huge run in victory carrying a big weight. Golden Glory came to win the race at the 100m sitting one-off in third and just came up short. He's been a model of consistency without winning at this level over this Valley trip. Grade One ran on to finish a non-threatening third following a midfield run. He's been racing well all season long and will remain a short list candidate on either surface to 1,400m at this level. Autopay stayed on all right travelling one-off fore of midfield. He's produced a positive result in his past two and will be hard to oppose if he finds his way into Class Five. People's Champion made some ground without menacing from behind midfield in his first run at the Valley. He's shown some ability in two of his three outings but likely needs more time and a further trip.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (599) - INCHEON HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

DOCTOR FORTUNE began only fairly.

HAPPY SURVEYS was slow to begin and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Also from wide barriers, APPLAUSE, LETSGOFREE and PEOPLE'S CHAMPION were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.

Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, AUTOPAY got its head up on a number of occasions when proving difficult to settle behind KINGSTON ONE.

In the early and middle stages, ROYAL PREROGATIVE travelled wide and without cover and after the 800 Metres was ridden forward to clear GOLDEN GLORY to its inside to obtain a position closer to the rail.

This required ROYAL PREROGATIVE having to be ridden along for a considerable distance before being able to cross GOLDEN GLORY making the turn after the 600 Metres.

Rounding the Home Turn, PEOPLE'S CHAMPION was awkwardly placed inside the heels of AUTOPAY.

After the race, A Sanna stated that HAPPY SURVEYS did not feel comfortable in its action throughout the race.

A veterinary inspection of HAPPY SURVEYS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY SURVEYS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of CREME BRULEE and LETSGOFREE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

EIGHTY EIGHTY and GOLDEN GLORY were sent for sampling.
