Recap by phillip woo
Early favourite Beauty Prince coasted home much the best after getting a soft time in front for an overdue win after putting the writing on the wall on this surface in mid-January. He remains one to follow on this surface. People's Knight ran another genuine race chasing the leader to clearly hold second but doesn't have much upside off his current mark. Post-time favourite Prawn Baba had no excuse following a box-seat run. The big weight was too much and he's better suited over the 1,800m. Fight Hero ran on well from midfield to grab fourth. He prefers the 1,200m but doesn't have many options on this surface. Dr Win Win had his chance following a prominent run. He wasn't good enough with a step up in class. Imperial Gallantry beat only one after trailing the field. He didn't get a race run to suit.
