Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (301) - TSING YI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
ROCKET LET WIN was slow to begin.
WHISTLE UP lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and lost ground.
After jumping away awkwardly and making contact with THE CHAMP, GOLDEN DEER was then inconvenienced soon after the start by IDYLLIC WIND when that horse shifted out.
Upon entering the Back Straight near the 900 Metres, GREAT TOPLIGHT, when being steadied, got its head up and was checked away from the heels of IDYLLIC WIND which shifted out marginally.
THE CHAMP, which was following, was hampered in consequence.
Throughout the event, GREAT TOPLIGHT raced wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN DEER and VICTORY DUKE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOLD TALENT, THE CHAMP and TREASURE AND GOLD were sent for sampling.

It was another fantastic training feat by Frankie Lor Fu-chuen to get The Champ to salute despite showing little early on in his career. He got up 50m out for the win after a deep run with cover travelling fore of midfield and should be able to win another before leaving the class. Treasure And Gold came on strongly after a deep run fourth from the rear from a wide gate to grab second in the last stride. He's caught the eye in his past three and should be saluting soon. Early favourite Idyllic Wind attacked the leader Young Dreamer, assumed the lead at the top of the straight and grudgingly gave way. Raichu finished strongly widest out after settling second from the rear. He's knocking on the door and will be hard to beat from a good gate. Young Dreamer lost a placing inside the last 100m after getting away with a slow pace in front. It was a positive effort first up this term and looks capable of getting away with a race at this level with a bit more racing fitness.
